Time to finish: 5+ hours Materials: HB, 2B, 5B pencils, kneaded eraser, smooth sketching paper. Notes: I'm glad I finally got this uploaded, even though it's a terrible scan that's pixelated. This is as close to realism as I get, even though it's not perfect. It's of one of my cats, Explorer. Hence the unoriginal name. Any kind of comments or constructive critique is appreciated.
Thank you very much for the comment and favourite. I'm glad you like it. I wasn't sure I could pull it off the way I did... I had never put so much effort into making a drawing realistic before.

It did seem a good alternative to just: Vanessa. Or: Look at my gallery please.

Very clever. I like it. Hm... my personal thought is that if pain makes you stronger, the intense pain from losing an arm should cause you to sprout a new one, or at the very least, turn your other arm into one of inhuman strength. Maybe we should test it out on whoever invented that idea to begin with.

If he didn't die of old age, angry villagers probably beat him to death. Anyone who comes up with something like that can't be a pleasant person to be around.

DeviantART and the martial arts action film, Ninja Assassin, have teamed up to allow ALL deviants the ability to install Journal Skins! Select an awesome Ninja Assassin skin or choose the skin of your choice.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I just updated mine with a contradiction btw
I was torn between that one and: "If pain only makes you stronger, what good does losing an arm do?"
